Wild about “Wylde on Health”

November 14, 2010

I’m sitting here on my new (and stiff) couch watching one of my favourite shows on one of my favourite channels.  Call me a geek but I’m a CP24 addict.  CP24 is always on in the background – it’s a one-stop shop for information.  You’ve got weather, news, traffic…and best of all, health tidbits!  Every so often I get lucky and catch “Wylde on Health“, the 30-minute alternative health show.

For those that haven’t been as fortunate and aren’t familiar with Bryce Wylde, he’s an alternative health expert, Homeopathic Doctor and Nutritionist who hosts the show.  I’ll also say that he’s not so hard on the eyes:)  If you’re interested in learning about natural and non-invasive approaches to health and wellness you should stop whatever you’re doing and flip on your TV.  Tune into channel 24 on Sundays at 10:30am or on Fridays (7:30pm and midnight) and you’ll see Bryce with his guest, an expert in the health field.

Topic today was how to avoid the flu or the cold.  So if you’ve got the sniffles, you should check it out.  If you miss it, you can catch this show and others right here at the “Wylde on Health” website.

Here are just a few things you would have learned in the past 30 minutes:

  • Take your Vitamin D, especially in the winter months when we have little access to natural sunlight (and Vitamin D).
  • Vitamin D3 is better absorbed than Vitamin D2.  Vitamin D2 has to be converted to D3 and is not as stable once on the shelf.
  • Garlic is good for flu preventation, but you have to crush the whole clove to release the active components.
  • Ester C is a brand of Vitamin C which has less acidity.
  • Always choose natural vs synthetic supplements and vitamins.

Oh and if you have plans on November 15th at 5pm, break ’em.  Bryce is joining Dr. Oz (who hosts my other favourite show) for a health pow-wow.  I can’t wait!

Gee…reading this post you’d think I worked for CP24.  I’m doing some serious promoting on their behalf. 😉
