Magazines

Welcome to part of my virtual library.  Thought you might like to know where I dig up some of my recipes, health & fitness tips.  So if you’re hungry for more info, you can skip the middle man (me) and go right to the source.

Let’s start with a few of my favourite foodie/health magazines :

FREE Mags:

You can find most of these at a health food store near you.

Tonic www.tonictoronto.com – I picked this up at one of the health food stores in Kensington market but my guess is that you can find it at any health store.

alivewww.alive.com – “Canada’s Natural Health and Wellness Magazine”.

Healthy Directionswww.healthydirections.ca -” Ontario’s Natural Health & Nutrition Guide that aims to offer readers researched nutrition and supplement information.”

Vistawww.vistamagonline.com – “Canada’s Favourite Health Magazine”.  It’s published bi-monthly and is filled with relevant health articles, nutritional tips and fitness advice.

Vitality – www.vitalitymagazine.com – “Toronto’s Monthly Wellness Journal is one of Canada’s largest publications on natural health, alternative medicine, and green living. It is available free in selected outlets across the province of Ontario.”  It may not jump off the shelves and catch your eye like other high-gloss mags, but don’t let the newspaper medium fool you.  The content is incredibly informative, especially when it comes to holistic health.

Mags to buy:

Clean Eating –  www.cleaneatingmag.com –  ($6.99 per issue) Offers “clean and delicious exclusive recipes along with the latest nutrition, health, cooking, wellness and weight loss news and tips”

Natural Healthwww.naturalhealthmag.com –  ($6.99 per issue) Everything from healthy recipes to detox tips and healthy tidbits.  Picked this up at the Seattle airport but you should be able to find it at Chapters.
